P3 Bulletin reports Trinidad & Tobago waterfront P3 tender and Canadian adviser search

The same listing also carries Maryland's toll and CAV advisory search and $50m in World Bank financing for the Paraíba sanitation P3.

At a glance

20-second brief
  • P3 Bulletin reports that Trinidad & Tobago has tendered waterfront P3s and that advisers are being sought for a Canadian waterfront development.

  • The World Bank is backing the Paraíba sanitation P3 with $50m of financing, the only dollar figure attached to any project in the items listed.

  • None of the listed items puts a capital cost on the Trinidad & Tobago, Canadian or Maryland work.

P3 Bulletin reports that Trinidad & Tobago has tendered waterfront P3s and that advisers are being sought for a Canadian waterfront development. Neither item carries a value, a procurement stage or a timetable as listed.

Transport mandates fill out the rest of the list. Maryland is seeking advisers for toll and CAV plans; Contra Costa Transit Authority is exploring a P3 for mobility hubs; Rio has launched a consultation for an electric bus P3; Jamaica has tendered an agricultural logistics hub; and the US Navy has begun reviewing Seal Beach submissions, according to P3 Bulletin's items.

Two personnel entries sit alongside those projects: a former Metrolinx chief is to join the Alto project, and Equitix has appointed a new capital formation lead.

The World Bank is backing the Paraíba sanitation P3 with $50m of financing, the only dollar figure attached to any project in the items listed. That project is water rather than transport, and it has appeared in a previous bulletin roundup, where this publication noted it as the lone commitment in a file of mandates.

This publication has argued the P3 market's visible work is in mandates and preparation. Advisory searches for a Colombia hospital P3, a Peru healthcare P3 with a contractor on board, development consultants for a Georgia city, and consultants for a Flagstaff investment roadmap all sit at the same pre-commitment stage. Duffy's call for Arkansas to consider private finance is also at that stage.

None of the listed items puts a capital cost on the Trinidad & Tobago, Canadian or Maryland work.
