20-second brief

  • The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation application sets a $540 million construction budget and a March 2027 to December 2028 schedule.

  • The $540 million budget and 54MW figure work out to roughly $10 million per megawatt, if they cover the same scope.

Stack Infrastructure's affiliate SI DFW02CAMPUS LLC filed this month for DFW02B, a 350,045 sq ft data center and office building in Lancaster, Data Center Dynamics reported. The two-story building would sit at 1130 E. Belt Line Road in Dallas County.

The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation application sets a $540 million construction budget and a March 2027 to December 2028 schedule. Stack's sales brochure assigns 54MW to the building and describes DFW02 as a 500MW campus on 193 acres in South Dallas that could reach five buildings, 1.76 million sq ft and an on-site substation.

Stack's latest filing follows DFW02A at 1000 E Belt Line Road, a 360,030 sq ft, two-story building due for completion in March 2027. DFW02A was filed in January 2025, with follow-up works running to March 2028. DFW02B's construction start therefore lands in the same month DFW02A is scheduled to finish, per those filings.

The $540 million budget and 54MW figure work out to roughly $10 million per megawatt, if they cover the same scope. The filing does not break the budget down that way, and it is a per-building figure, not a campus one, because the other four buildings have no disclosed cost.
