Uniserve Communications plans an initial 1MW of operating capacity at a new Vancouver data center in the fourth quarter of 2026, with a second megawatt held for later expansion. The site, VAN-2, sits at 369 Terminal Avenue next door to the company's existing VAN-1 facility at 333 Terminal Avenue, according to Data Center Dynamics.

The leased space spans roughly 10,000 sq ft inside an eight-story multi-tenant office building of about 160,000 sq ft. Uniserve says the design will support up to 30kW per rack and is aimed at enterprise computing, cloud infrastructure, colocation and AI workloads.

The company first disclosed the Vancouver expansion in September 2025, describing a 2MW target at the time, and later signed a lease with 369 Terminal Holdings Ltd. for the neighboring building.

BC Hydro has committed to upgrade the facility's distribution infrastructure to provide up to 3MW of utility power by 2028, after the first megawatt is due online.

Uniserve said it has secured a customer set to host GPU hardware across its facilities. CEO Gautam Lohia called VAN-2 "another important step in building Uniserve's Canadian sovereign digital infrastructure platform," pointing to recurring revenue and long-term customer relationships.

At 1MW across roughly 10,000 sq ft, the initial fit works out to about 100 watts per square foot.
